The Model-T has 33 jobs to be taken care of according to the lubrication plan. 25 of them are oiled, 9 are supplied with grease. I find it remarkable that according to the plan, you have to supply the engine with oil every day and change the engine oil every 800km. The transmission oil is changed every 1600km.
The 4 wheel bearings, the steering wheel gear, the steering below and the gearbox output and cardan are greased every 800km. For greasing there are grease cups. The cups are screwed down and filled with grease. When screwing on, the grease presses itself into the bearings. Here three pictures of the rear wheel bearing.
The grease cup of the steering:
The fan bearing should be greased every 300km.
Most often, every 300km, the leaf spring joints, the steering knuckles and the joints of the steering must be oiled. The oil bushings are either simple flaps or screwed-on oilers with rotating sealing sleeves.
The oilers were all filled with grease and had to be cleaned first. Hopefully the bearings were not damaged by this.
The parking brake linkage and the starter crank only need to be oiled every 800km and 1600km. They have no oil bushings.
The planetary gear of the steering only needs to be greased every 8000km:
I drove 20,4km today. A piece on the highway with 74,9km/h. The car runs well. The parking brake is much easier to use after oiling.
