99. Tag - Auspuffrohr / exhaust pipe

Nachdem ich die lauteste Geräuschquelle, die Fensterscheibe, ruhigstellen konnte, fallen mir immer mehr Geräusche von anderen Bauteilen auf. Denen gehe ich jetzt auf den Grund. Meine zwei Favoriten ist das Klaxon Horn und der Auspuff. Ich fange mal mit dem Auspuff an.
After I was able to silence the loudest noise source, the window pane, I notice more and more noises from other components.  I am now getting to the bottom of them. My two favorites are the Klaxon horn and the exhaust. I start with the exhaust.

Das Rohr hat zuviel Spiel im Auspufftopf. Es klappert und die Abgase kommen an dieser Stelle heraus. Ich hatte diese Stelle bereits mit der Auspuffdichtmasse "Holts Gun Gum" abgedichtet. Ich versuche es noch ein zweites mal auf die gleiche Weise, da ich noch genügend davon übrig habe. Vielleicht gelingt es jetzt besser. Zuerst säubere ich das Rohr und den Topf und versuche die Dichtmasse zwischen die Rohre zu bekommen. Das gelingt mir gerade so. Dann noch etwas von der Dichtmasse außen drumherum.
The pipe has too much play in the muffler. It rattles and the exhaust gases come out at this point. I had already sealed this spot with the exhaust gasket compound "Holts Gun Gum". I try it a second time in the same way, because I still have enough of it left. Maybe it works better now. First I clean the pipe and the pot and try to get the sealing compound between the pipes. I just manage to do that. Then some of the sealing compound around it.

Nach 4km Fahrt sieht das dann so aus. Die äußere Abdichtung funktioniert also nicht. Das Rohr hat eine zu große Längsverschiebung zum Auspufftopf. Trotzdem ist die Schnittstelle noch dicht. Mal sehen wie lange das hält.
After a 4km drive it looks like this. So the outer sealing does not work. The pipe has a too large longitudinal displacement to the muffler. Nevertheless the interface is still tight. Let's see how long it will last.

Im übrigen bin ich nicht nur am Reparieren, sondern fahre jeden Tag 9km zur Arbeit. Das alte Auto funktioniert aber ohne Probleme. Ich bin jetzt schon 1240km gefahren.
By the way, I am not only repairing, but I drive 9km to work every day. But the old car works without problems. I have already driven 1240km.
