Das erste Teil aus der neuen Snyders Lieferung, welches ich in den Wagen einbauen werde ist die Lüfterriemenscheibe. Die vorhandene Scheibe hat den größeren Durchmesser der letzten Baujahre und ist der Grund, warum der Lüfter an der Anlasserkurbel kollidierte.
The first part from the new Snyders delivery, which I will install in the car is the fan pulley. The existing pulley has the larger diameter of the last years of construction and is the reason why the fan collided with the starter crank.
It is also noticeable that the old pulley has a lot of play on the shaft. This is certainly not advantageous for the belt and could also be a source of noise.
The play could also not reduce the inlay sheet.
The belt pulley is secured on the shaft with a clamping sleeve. The clamping sleeve is longer than the diameter of the shaft so that the starter crank can grip it when cranking.
When driving out the clamping sleeve, the hole in the tub also makes sense. There you can remove the sleeve from the pulley.
Here you can see the difference in the diameter of the pulleys (3 3/4'' and 3 1/4'').
I bought the new pulley in a special version. It is slotted and can be tightened with an allen screw on the shaft. Just in case the shaft journal is worn out and the new pulley should have some play.
I don't know why, but I first checked whether the new clamping sleeve fits into the shaft. Unfortunately it does not. The adapter sleeve simply slips through the bore of the shaft journal.
The old clamping sleeve fits nicely in the bore of the shaft journal, but is too long.
Therefore I have to spread the new clamping sleeve slightly with a chisel.
Now everything fits and I check the fit of the new pulley. It has a little play, but much less than the old one.
Schlecht, dass ich keinen Sechskanschlüssen in der passenden Zollgröße habe.
Good thing I got an adjustable pulley.
So I first have to buy Model-T fair tools.
