Model-T fahren ist mehr als nur Auto fahren. Ein passendes Outfit und Accessoires runden das Bild ab. Heute ging es mir um eine passende Taschenuhr. Bei Ebay habe ich eine New York Standard ersteigert.

Diese Uhr passt hervorragend zum Model-T. Sie ist wie das Auto ein preiswertes Massenprodukt.
Ich habe schon ein solches Modell und die Uhr läuft fantastisch. Sie macht keine Probleme und ist sehr genau.

This watch is a great fit for the Model-T. Like the car, it is an inexpensive mass product. I already have such a model and the watch runs fantastic. It does not cause any problems and is very accurate.

Die neue Uhr hat ein gutes Neusilber Gehäuse in der Größe 18s mit einer Lokomotive. Ein Ford wäre natürlich besser :-). Das Zifferblatt ist in einem super Zustand. Die Zeiger sind auch in Ordnung.
The new watch has a good nickel silver case in size 18s with a locomotive. A Ford would be better of course :-). The dial is in super condition. The hands are also in order.
I could not assign the serial number of the movement 3935395 to a year yet.
Leider läuft das Uhrwerk nicht und das Uhrenglas fehlt. Also bin ich mit dem T zu meinem bevorzugten Uhrmacher gefahren um die Uhr zum Check abzugeben. Als ich wieder wegfuhr, stand die ganze Belegschaft an der Tür um zu schauen, ob ich den Wagen zum Laufen kriege. Ja das habe ich ;-)
Unfortunately the movement does not run and the watch glass is missing. So I took the T to my favorite watchmaker to drop the watch off for a check. When I drove away again, the whole staff was at the door to see if I could get it to run. Yes I did ;-)
Gestern habe ich die Uhr wieder abgeholt. Wieder mit dem Model-T unterwegs. Die Uhr kann repariert werden, wird aber nicht ganz billig, da Teile nachgefertigt werden müssen. Ich werde erst mal schauen, ob ich ein funktionierendes Uhrwerk bekomme.
Da wird einem wieder bewußt, wie toll die Ersatzteilversorgung des Model Ts ist. Für das Auto kann man alles aus dem Katalog bestellen.

Makes you realize again how great the Model T's parts supply is. For the car, you can order everything from the catalog.
