The car does not drive worse because of this. That's why I haven't taken the time to improve the fit of the hood until now. The gap between the hood and the radiator is too big and the hood has a bad fit. The bends in the hood have too small an angle, so the hinge is too high.
Carefully I try to shape the hood over the edge of the workbench.
The result is not so bad. Now the shape of the hood corresponds to the shape of the radiator and the hinge lies correctly in its guide.
Now I want to try if I can reset the radiator a little more. The gap between the hood and the radiator is 10mm. Let's see what I can improve on the adjustment of the connecting rod to the bulkhead. this rod was previously too short. We lengthened it a bit at Werner. It could be that it is too long now.
With some grease and the big pliers I can reduce the gap to 5mm. That's enough for now. With a suitable tap and an angle grinder, you could achieve even more here.
