Bevor ich auf die Fehlersuche gehe, kläre ich erst mal ob meine Annahme richtig waren. Eine Annahme war, dass der Differentialölwechsel nicht die Ursache ist. Darum hebe ich die Hinterachse mit dem Wagenheber an und prüfe die Funktion des Differential. Es funktioniert und macht keine Geräusche.
Before I start troubleshooting, let me clarify if my assumptions were correct. One assumption was that the differential oil change was not the cause. Therefore I lift the rear axle with the jack and check the function of the differential. It works and makes no noise.

Motor und Getriebe zeigen keine Auffälligkeiten und ja, ich kann ein Rad mit der Hand abbremsen. Auch jetzt macht das Differential keine auffälligen Geräusche.
Then I check if the engine works or if the transmission makes any noise. And while I'm at it, I'm interested to see if I can brake a wheel by hand. The engine and transmission show no abnormalities and yes, I can brake a wheel by hand. Even now the differential is not making any noticeable noise.
Als nächstes überprüfe ich die Hebel, über die die Kupplungsfeder die Kupplungsscheiben zusammendrückt. Dabei finde ich nichts Auffälliges.
Next, I check the levers via which the clutch spring presses the clutch discs together. I found nothing conspicuous.
Sind die Triple Gears geschädigt? Die Triple Gears sind die Planetenräder, welche jeweils aus drei Zahnräder bestehen. Damit können die Planetenräder zusätzlich noch mit den Trommeln des ersten Ganges und des Rückwärtsganges verbunden werden. Ich kann keinen Schaden an den Triple Gears erkennen.

Zum Schluss lasse ich den Motor noch laufen und betätige den ersten Gang. Wie erwartet wird der Motor zum Stillstand gebracht. Das einzige Auffällige ist ein klingelndes Geräusch, das ich aber nicht zuordnen kann. Wenn beide Gänge gleichzeitig im Eingriff sind, könnten solche Geräusche normal sein. Es könnte aber auch ein Hinweis auf das Problem sein.
Finally, I let the engine run and operate the first gear. As expected, the engine is brought to a standstill. The only noticeable thing is a ringing noise, but I can't place it. If both gears are engaged at the same time, such noise could be normal. However, it could also be an indication of the issue.Zusammenfassung: Ich habe heute nichts gefunden was die Theorie widerlegt, ich habe aber auch die Ursache nicht gefunden.
Ich habe aber einen großen Teil der Funktionsweise des Planetengetriebes und der Kupplung verstanden, ein Gefühl für das Differential bekommen und zum ersten Mal die "Ölpumpe" des Model Ts in Aktion gesehen. Der Motor hat keine Ölpumpe, das Öl wird nur durch die Schwungscheibe mit den angeschraubten Magneten im Motor verteilt.
Summary: I didn't find anything today that disproves the theory, but I also didn't find the cause.
I did, however, understand a large part of how the planetary gearbox and clutch work, got a feel for the differential, and saw the Model T's "oil pump" in action for the first time. The engine does not have an oil pump, the oil is only distributed throughout the engine by the flywheel with the magnets bolted to it.
